Be A Part Of The Frost Band Of The Hour For A Day!

6th Annual Marching Band Mini Camp
Saturday, April 29, 2023
8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

NEW: All activities held in the Carol Soffer Indoor Practice Facility
University of Miami Coral Gables Campus (see map below)

All Mini Camp activities are FREE and open to all High School and College age students. This is a great opportunity for students, parents, and directors to find out more about the UM Frost Band of the Hour as well as getting students excited about performing after their high school years.

Registration: You must register for Mini Camp by contacting Charles Damon at bands@miami.edu or call 305-284-4273. All students must register by Monday April 24, 2023.

Schedule

8:00 a.m. Registration (North Door of Soffer Indoor Practice Facility)
9:00 a.m. Full Group Meeting
9:30 a.m. Marching Rehearsal
10:45 a.m. Winds, Percussion, Auxiliary Rehearsals
11:30 a.m. Full Group Rehearsal
12:00 p.m. Performances by all participants (Open To All Parents)
12:30 p.m. Final Announcements
1:00 p.m. Free Lunch provided to all student participants in The UM Dining Hall

Details

Remember to bring water (no other food or drinks are allowed in the UM Indoor Practice Facility). Wear appropriate marching or athletic shoes and comfortable clothes. Students should provide their own instruments & equipment.

Any student needing to borrow an instrument or equipment from the University of Miami must request this from Charles Damon by Monday, April 24th at: bands@miami.edu

Parking is available in campus lots and garages. PaybyPhone will be available in most lots.
