The Frost Band of the Hour supports The University of Miami Hurricanes as part of the Division 1 ACC Conference. We perform for over 65,000 people at UM football games held at Hard Rock Stadium (home of the Miami Dolphins), championship bowl games, nationally televised NCAA Men’s and Women's Basketball games, March Madness Basketball championship tournaments, marching band festival exhibitions, and sports and entertainment events throughout South Florida.
Whether you're a music major at the Frost School, or enrolled in any other course of study across our diverse campus or in South Florida, the Frost Band of the Hour is your place to make great music, make lifelong friends, and make a difference in the community.
Financial awards are offered to all participating members.
Join the Marching Band
- All returners will receive a $3,000.00 stipend and all new members will receive a $2,500.00 stipend. Students at any South Florida college (that doesn’t have a marching band) can be in the UM Band and will receive a $2,000 stipend.
Join the Pep Band
- Students chosen to participate receive up to an additional $1,000 award.
