Carson de la Rosa is a euphonium player from Arkansas and a graduate of Bentonville West High School, where he earned All-State honors and received superior ratings in solo and ensemble competitions.
He went on to attend Rutgers University, earning his Bachelor of Music in Euphonium Performance in 2025. During his time at Rutgers, Carson served as Principal Euphonium of the Grammy-nominated Rutgers University Wind Ensemble. He was the winner of the 2023 Rutgers Concerto Competition and, alongside his colleagues, also won the Rutgers Chamber Music Competition that same year.
Carson has studied with several respected musicians and educators, including Aaron VanderWeele, Alan Baer, Dr. Noreen Baer, SSG Michael Burner, and Albert Ortiz.
Carson is currently pursuing his Master of Music in Euphonium Performance at the Frost School of Music, University of Miami, studying under Dr. Aaron Tindall. He also serves as a Graduate Teaching Assistant with the Athletic Bands and the Frost Band of the Hour.
A dedicated brass band musician, Carson played a key role in helping revive the Rutgers Brass Band during his undergraduate years. He has performed with ensembles including the Atlantic Brass Band, Imperial Brass Band, and Princeton Brass Band, which won the 2023 North American Brass Band Association First Section Championship. He has also appeared as a soloist with the Arkansas Musicworks Brass Band and Arkansas Highlands Brass Band.
In addition to performing, Carson has a strong interest in brass instrument repair. He gained hands-on experience at Palen Music Center in Springdale, Arkansas, under the mentorship of technician Corey Divine.
